This plan will help me stay on course to reaching my targeted weight loss goals. I hope that my mission will work for you.
"Your body is a temple". 1Corinthians 6:19 You need to treat it that way and not abuse it!
The scripture is really about sexual immorality but the message is clear, to honor God by avoiding exposure to disease or other bodily harm. If you maintain good health habits you can avoid diseases whether sexual or not and other problems like ED.
Exercises and a healthy diet can help maintain your body. The sexual stuff is all on you and is not my problem.
First of all, I'm a short big guy at 248 pounds! We must realize that we have a weight problem, a body appearance problem and a lifestyle problem. That my friends, is our biggest hurdle to cross.
Once we admit we have those kind of problems we need a realistic plan to attack the problem,
a mission statement.
Here are my four mission statements.
I don't expect you or anybody else to quit eating, that's not healthy and could end up putting you in the hospital or worse.
I like food like most Americans, I don't want to give up anything. I need a plan that I can live with, not the one that my doctor or my good friends want me on. Remember, it's my plan or the highway. You will have to make some sacrifices with the food you eat but, it shouldn't be too time consuming to follow or write down. Be prepare for setbacks and failures. Not all diet plans work for everybody. The purpose of this blog to show you what I'm doing and to give you an honest no (blank) assessment of the results.
Believe in your plan when no one else does. I've lost weight before but, I was much younger. What worked for me then may not work for me now.
Keep it real and it will happen for you.
Last, It takes time to change what you let get shipwrecked! Your body loves to store fat, it's not going away anytime fast. There is no magic pill out there that's going to shed pounds fat. Don't cheat, no surgery please! Be strong and cowboy up! Are you ready? I started my mission on February 1st 2009. My goal is to lose 32 pounds by labor day, my realistic goal is to lose 12 pounds by Memorial Day and keep it off. Here is some of my planned cardio-vascular exercises that are fun to do, not boring and that you can live with them.
I'll discuss how maintaining my journal of my activities helps me stay on course to my weight loss goals.
Please follow your doctor's recommendations concerning diet and exercise.
Bicycle riding, kayaking, hiking and snow shoeing are some of the physical activities you can do to get shipshape. I'll discuss what other things I've been doing that work and give you my SITREP (situation report) on my next posting to this blog.
Here are my current stats as of February 1st 2009
5"8", weight 248 lbs on a mechanical scale and on the digital scale weight 234 lbs.
